We are currently seeking a talented Preconstruction Manager I or II in Orlando, FL to join our family.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Assists Division Manager/GM to determine what types of projects to bid, strategies, techniques, etc.
  • Maintains bidding database.
  • Reviews design options and recommends best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials
  • Manages and administers department functions including operating budgets, staffing, work assignments, performance evaluations, etc.
  • Participates in project hand-off meetings.
  • Mentors and trains department personnel, and project staff (as needed).
  • Assists in the preparation of studies, materials and methods, recommendations, and cost estimates as required by clients or management.
  • Participates in presentations to clients (if required).
  • Reviews proposal specifications, drawings and attends pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
  • Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man hour fgures
  • Reviews all final estimate packages to insure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal quotation; maintains margin in pricing.
  • Makes site visits to jobs in progress to discuss budget/cost with Superintendent/Project Manager as requested.
  • Updates skills for software tools and technology utilized
  • Supervises and drives work to be accomplished in department.
  • Provides technical assistance to the project team in negotiating contracts, change orders, etc. as required.
  • Provides technical support to personnel preparing estimates for assigned bids
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
  • Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, employees). Maintain relationship to ensure needs are met and problems/conflicts are resolved.
